Microneedling

Microneedling involves the use of tiny sterile needles to create micropunctures in the skin. These micropunctures stimulate the wound healing process in the dermis without causing significant damage to the epidermis. The wound healing process causes an increase in the amount of fibroblasts in the skin. These fibroblasts act to increase the production of collagen and elastin in the dermis.

Microneedling can be used to help improve;

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Pore size

  • Skin laxity

  • Poor tone and texture

  • Inflammation

  • Pigmentation

  • Scarring acne scarring and Surgery scarring

Micro-needling induces a natural skin repair response. This results in increased production of growth factors, which in turn stimulates the production of collagen and elastin resulting in smoother, plumper, brighter skin. when using an active skin care routine your products will penetrate more deeply following your micro-needling treatments.

Treatment Overview

Micro-needling uses multiple fine, sterile needles to puncture the skin with microscopic channels. The controlled injury initiates a skin healing response, resulting in the increased production of collagen and elastin. The end result is thicker, plumper, firmer, smoother skin. As we age collagen production declines particularly after the age of 30. therefore regular treatments are recommended. Depending on your concern the treatment will be tailored to treat desired results. Treatment add ons are popular to enhance specific results Such as, Exosomes, Toxin, Chemical peels and NCTF skin booster. These can be discussed with your Nurse during your consultation or treatment. The depth the needles penetrate to depends on the type of skin tissue, qualification of the practitioner and the reason for treatment. Nurses, doctors and dentist can deliver micro-needling deeper on the face and body. For best results a course of 3-9 treatments are recommended 4 weeks apart although often patients love the results so much ongoing treatments are popular.
